LYNCHBURG, Va. — Liberty University plans to open a new Center for Music & the Worship Arts in 2015. Liberty says in a news release that the building’s educational wing is scheduled to be completed by the 2015 fall semester. The auditorium is expected to open later that semester. The 144,-square-foot building will house a 1,600-seat fine arts auditorium, two student recital halls and classrooms, practice rooms, teaching studios, and piano, songwriting and music computer labs. It’s part of the Lynchburg school’s $500 million campus rebuilding phase. |
